ALAS is a group whose purpose is to bring together all Latin Americans and all those in Swansea and surrounding areas interested in Latin American affairs. The main aims are to provide mutual support and to raise awareness of Latin America's cultural richness.
Membership
Membership of ALAS is open to all and costs
- unwaged/part-time/student £3.50 per year
- waged £5.00 per year
ALAS members receive 10% off at La Tasca, Wind St, Swansea, and at Govinda's restaurant, Cradock St, Swansea, on presentation of their current membership card.
ALAS members receive 10% off at Zen Acupuncture & Chinese Massage (tel 01792 891546) and for Holistic Therapy (Reiki, Reflexology and many more) at the Killay Therapy Centre (Tel. Susan on 01792 - 371327).
Events
ALAS events are held monthly, normally on the first Saturday of the month.

Friday 26th June AGM & Brazilian evening 7:30-9:30 p.m.
at Brynmill Community Centre, St Alban's Road, Brynmill, Swansea.
Cost: £3 (ALAS members & concessions) / £4 (non-ALAS members & non-concessions)
Includes light Brazilian refreshments. Please bring a bottle, if you wish.

Friday 10th July Tango Workshops, Show & Milonga with Aisha & Victor from Buenos Aires
at The Dylan Thomas Centre, Somerset Place, Swansea.
Cost:
Tango Workshop for Beginners (5:45 - 6:45 pm) - £10
Tango Workshop for Intermediate/Advanced (7:00 - 8:00 pm) - £10
Show at 8:15 pm, followed by a Milonga until midnight - £6 (ALAS members & concessions) / £8 (non-ALAS members & non-concessions)
