For a sample of Fernando's talent, you may watch/listen to him on YouTube as follows:
Prelude 3 by Heitor Villa-Lobos and Etude 10 by Heitor Villa-Lobos. Fernando said:
The first video is Prelude 3 by the best Brazilian composer ever, Heitor Villa-Lobos. This year is the Fiftieth anniversary of his death. Villa-Lobos is also known for his explorations of Brazil's 'dark interior', when he absorbed the native Brazilian musical culture. Serious doubt has been cast on some of Villa-Lobos' tales, such as his capture and near escape from cannibals, his concerts playing the cello by the river in the middle of the Amazon Forest and to be forced to eat monkeys by the natives. Some believe them to be fabrications or wildly embellished romanticism by the composer... but fascinating, anyhow!
